Did you get interested in SINAM’s work and are you keen to support them? There are two basic options to help SINAM. Firstly, you can make a single donation, to help SINAM pay one of the necessary items as can be found on the page ‘Current needs’. Secondly, and most importantly, you can decide to sponsor a child.

The sponsorprogramme works as following, at the basis, is very simple: you make a monthly payment of 10 euros and SINAM helps a child to go to school.
But, the child receives much more than just going to school. The children that are supported through the sponsorprogramme, and are the poorest of the poor. They have not always been able to go to school and therefore SINAM arranges extra tuition to help the children catch up. They also ensure that the children get regular health checks – very important. The children form a children’s parliament, in which they learn to think for themselves – something which is often missing from the Indian education system. Lastly, the children will come to live in a special house, close to their homes but far enough to be able to study and develop their personalities in peace, away from their drunken parents or the misery of not having dinner in the evening.
For a description of the children who are still in urgent need of help, as well as the children who are already part of the programme, can be found here.

Lastly, if you really got interested in SINAM and want to go there for yourself and work there as a volunteer – like the authors of this website did – you can take a look at www.amaidi.org – the excellent bridging organization that got us in touch with SINAM as well!
